The Student List has won Serbia's snap parliamentary election, defeating Aleksandar Vucic's party and ending his political dominance after two years of protests.
- The election commission announced Monday that the Student List won 52.54 percent of the vote against 39.29 percent for Vucic's United Serbia list, with turnout at a record 68.78 percent.
- Projected to win 140 of 250 parliamentary seats, the Student List can form a majority government on its own.
- Vucic conceded defeat, telling supporters "it is clear that we have lost these elections."
- A presidential election must be held by December 27, with Ana Brnabic serving as interim president after Vucic's September 27 resignation.
