Céline Dion has performed her first full-length concert in six years in Paris, returning after a stiff person syndrome diagnosis forced her to cancel touring.
- Dion opened a sold-out 26-show residency at Paris La Défense Arena on Saturday before an audience of about 30,000 people.
- She broke down in tears during the set, telling the crowd: "I made a promise to come back, to be back on stage. Singing for you, and singing for me."
- Dion was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder stiff person syndrome in 2022, which had made performing impossible until this comeback.
- Several classics, including Because You Loved Me and My Heart Will Go On, were transposed down to lower keys to accommodate the condition's effect on her voice.
