BookTok inspires romance reading communities, new book clubs and specialist bookshops

BookTok has driven a wave of romance reading, leading to the creation of book clubs and the UK's first romance-only bookshops.

• Amelia Lord, diagnosed with dyslexia, started reading after discovering BookTok and later established Booked Up Book Club in Cardiff.
• Aimee Cummings opened Love Stories, Cardiff's first bookshop dedicated solely to romance, after researching the genre's market growth.
• Caden Armstrong opened Book Lovers Bookstore in Edinburgh, the UK's first bricks-and-mortar romance bookshop, and will celebrate its second anniversary in August.
