Japanese DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu says he aims to encourage hope and promote pacifism through his music after surviving a brain tumor diagnosed ten years ago.
- Yukimatsu was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July 2016 after an epileptic seizure, underwent two craniotomies, and said at the beginning of 2026 that scans showed no tumour.
- His November 2024 Boiler Room set has amassed nearly 20 million views, making it one of the platform's most popular videos.
- Yukimatsu performed at Coachella in April 2026 and will support the Prodigy at UK gigs later this summer.
- "It doesn't matter what it is: if it's good music, it's good," Yukimatsu said of his anti-purist style blending techno with other genres.
