Egypt's medical compensation fund board reviews finances and payouts

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar chaired the seventh board meeting of the Medical Professions Risk Compensation Fund.

• Abdel Ghaffar presided over the meeting, attended by fund executive director Hussein Dahrouj and representatives of member ministries and bodies.
• The board reviewed fund revenues and balances through August 2026 and compensation paid for deaths and total or partial disability cases.
• Members discussed the fund's investment plan, its balances at commercial banks, and a proposed move to a new headquarters in December.
• The board examined proposed cooperation protocols with the Health Ministry, the Egyptian Health Council, and the Supreme Council of University Hospitals.
