Egypt's Higher Education Ministry has announced final university admissions coordination results, placing 1.13 million students across all certificate types for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- The ministry coordinated 1,130,167 students, including 815,000 from general secondary schools and 285,000 from technical diplomas.
- Transfer-distance reduction placed 175,473 students closer to home, with approval rates from 50% to 62.7% across certificate types.
- Higher Education Minister Abdel Aziz Qansua reviewed the coordination office's final report covering over two months of placement work.
- Ministry spokesman Adel Abdel Ghaffar said students were placed across 850 colleges and institutes, including 28 government universities.
- A ministry official attributed the delay in results for foreign and equivalent certificate holders to ongoing student data review and differing certificate systems across countries.
