Portugal beat Norway 2-1 as Cristiano Ronaldo sat out the entire match in Oslo, drawing a coach's response and claims of a broken agreement.
- Portugal defeated Norway 2-1 at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on 27 September in their UEFA Nations League match.
- Ronaldo watched the entire match from the bench, his first without a substitute appearance in 18 years, then left down the tunnel without greeting fans.
- Jesus said he was unaware of Ronaldo's exit, stating he had promised to play him but saw no justification for a substitution at that time.
- Pedro Sousa of Portuguese paper Record said Ronaldo backed Jesus's appointment and the pair agreed in August he would play four specific matches.
