Bosnian Serb nationalist Milorad Dodik has declared victory in the country's election as his ally leads the race for the Serb presidential seat.
- With nearly 90% of votes counted, Dodik's ally Zeljka Cvijanovic held over 55% of votes for the Serb seat in the tripartite presidency, leading by roughly 30 points.
- Banned from office after last year's conviction, Dodik declared his party would hold a "vast majority" in Republika Srpska's assembly.
- Dodik credited Donald Trump's 2024 victory and Vladimir Putin's support for the election result.
- At a pre-election rally, Dodik told supporters Bosnia "is dead" and "an impossible country."
