Netanyahu cancels Musk meeting and trims US trip to hours around UN speech

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled a planned meeting with Elon Musk and reduced his US visit to a few hours around his UN speech.

• Netanyahu canceled a planned Texas meeting with Elon Musk, making the decision himself after his advance team had reached the state.
• He will arrive in New York on the morning of his September 24 UN General Assembly speech and leave shortly afterward.
• No meeting with US President Donald Trump is scheduled; US officials said conflicting schedules made such a meeting unlikely.
• US officials said Netanyahu's limited stay reflects Israel's approaching elections.
