Al-Shabab earned their first win of the Saudi Pro League season, beating Al-Taawoun 3-0 on Sunday despite playing a man short from the 33rd minute.
- Abdullah Mutawak opened the scoring in the 18th minute before defender Ali Al-Bulaihi was sent off in the 33rd.
- Ricardo Matias doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time and Yannick Carrasco completed the 3-0 in the 85th minute.
- The win lifted Al-Shabab to seven points, their first haul from eight league matches this season.
- In another match, Al-Riyadh drew 1-1 at Al-Fayha through Trezeguet's stoppage-time equalizer in the 90+2 minute.
