Foreign Minister Youssef Raji said Iran has not yet grasped that decision-making rests with Lebanon's government alone and will propose a UNIFIL replacement to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday.
- Raji said Lebanon negotiates directly for itself and does not need anyone to negotiate on its behalf.
- Raji said Israel and Hezbollah are both uncooperative in facilitating talks, holding Hezbollah more responsible for refusing to discuss confining weapons to the state.
- Raji said he will propose an international force to replace UNIFIL during his Monday meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
- Raji said the framework agreement resulted from the two support wars Hezbollah opened in Lebanon's south.
