First Corneal Transplant Surgeries Under Comprehensive Health Insurance in Aswan

• Governor Amr Lashin stated that the surgeries would eliminate the need for patients from Upper Egypt to travel to Cairo for treatment.
• The medical team announced that each patient paid a maximum of 482 Egyptian pounds, a fraction of the over 200,000-pound cost in private facilities.
• Hospital management instructed the patients to undergo regular follow-up care for one year.
