Egypt schedules Metro Line 4 first phase for end-2027 trial operation

Egypt's Ministry of Transport has set trial operation of Cairo Metro Line 4's first phase for the end of 2027.

• The Ministry of Transport has scheduled the first phase for trial operation by the end of 2027.
• The first phase runs from Hadayek Al-Ashgar station in 6th of October City to Al-Fustat station, linking western and eastern Cairo.
• The line introduces separate tunnels per direction, smart stations with platform screen doors, and Mitsubishi-built trains.
• The deep boring machine emerged at King al-Salah station on the line's route.
