A Houthi push along Yemen's Red Sea coast has driven over 2,000 displaced people to Djibouti and sharply reduced ship traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
- The UN said Sunday that more than 2,000 people fleeing fighting between Houthi rebels and Yemeni forces arrived in Djibouti this week.
- Houthi forces seized the Red Sea port city of Mocha on Thursday, completing their takeover of Yemen's remaining Red Sea coast.
- At least 76,000 people have been displaced inside Yemen since July, a figure the UN said quadrupled in the past week.
- Ship transits through the Bab el-Mandeb strait fell from about 35 to 10 daily over three days, according to a Djiboutian maritime source.
