Hunter Foster resigned from the Senatobia Police Department weeks after Mississippi's attorney general declared his June shooting of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley justified.
- Senatobia's board of aldermen accepted Foster's resignation on 21 October, effective immediately, after he was placed on leave following the 14 June shooting.
- Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced the shooting was justified and that her office declined prosecution for lack of sufficient evidence.
- Mississippi's public safety department released bodycam and surveillance footage showing Foster firing three shots into the vehicle, killing Kohen and injuring the driver.
- Family attorney Ben Crump called for a federal investigation and Foster's decertification, saying the bullet that killed Kohen was not justified.
