Shaun Edwards, 59, has joined England women's Red Roses as a defence coaching consultant for the remainder of the WXV Global Series.

• Edwards will work with the squad through the series, starting with New Zealand at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
• He left his role as France's men's defence coach in June after more than six years and has never coached women's rugby before.
• England's 39-game winning streak ended with a 26-26 draw against Canada last Saturday.
• Head coach John Mitchell said Edwards expressed interest in working in an international women's setup for the first time.
