Egypt's Water Minister and SESRIC Chief Discuss Joint Training Programs for Water Sector

Egyptian Water Resources Minister Hani Sweilem met SESRIC Director General Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk to discuss joint training and capacity-building programs in the water sector.
- Sweilem met with Selçuk, director general of SESRIC, an Organization of Islamic Cooperation subsidiary, to discuss water-sector training and capacity building.
- Sweilem said the ministry has finalized its training needs under the Water-CaB program and called for a joint action plan on priorities and staff.
- Selçuk invited Sweilem to participate in events on the sidelines of COP31 in Antalya, Turkey, set for November 9–20, 2026.
- Sweilem invited SESRIC to take part in the ninth Cairo Water Week, scheduled for October 24–28, 2026.
