Nigel Farage has announced Helen Jenner as Reform UK's new leader in Wales after Dan Thomas stepped down following his arrest on suspicion of assault.
- Jenner, previously the party's deputy leader in Wales, was unveiled by Farage on the steps of the Senedd in Cardiff on Monday.
- Gwent police arrested Thomas, 45, on 13 September on suspicion of assault and controlling or coercive behaviour and bailed him pending further inquiries.
- Thomas said he has done nothing wrong and did not want the headlines to distract from his Senedd team's work.
- Farage said it was untenable for Thomas to continue as leader and confirmed he would remain a member of the Senedd.
