New evidence surfaces in 1947 Black Dahlia murder case

A documentary team has discovered a concealed room in a Los Angeles hotel containing bloodstains possibly linked to the unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short.

• The team working on the series "Deconstructing Dahlia" said they found a hidden room in a 1940s hotel and collected around 40 suspected blood samples.
• The samples have been sent for advanced DNA testing, but no results have been publicly confirmed as human or linked to the case.
• A production company and the foundation "Justice Cannot Be Silenced" launched a petition demanding the LAPD release the full autopsy report and other records.
• The LAPD has not officially acknowledged the evidence or reopened the investigation.
