The United States and China have published lists of goods recommended for reduced tariffs, covering $30 billion of each side's imports after last week's Trump-Xi summit.
- The agreement covers $30bn of imports on each side, with 77 Chinese goods and more than 1,600 US products identified for preferential treatment.
- Chinese goods on the list include microwave ovens, fish hooks, artificial flowers and weighing scales.
- US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the agreement would improve market access for about 30 percent of US exports to China.
- The sides agreed to launch an artificial intelligence dialogue, with the next round of discussions in November.
- The reductions exclude semiconductors and electric vehicles, and no timeline for the tariff cuts has been given.
- The US list includes bed linen, toasters and billiard balls, while China's includes butter, foie gras, live dolphins, coal and MRI systems.
- The agreement was brokered through the US-China Board of Trade set up during Trump's May visit to Beijing.
