Joshua Foster, 37, was fined €3,000 by a Paphos court after pleading guilty to causing the death of his two-year-old son, who fell from a Cyprus hotel window.
- The two-year-old fell nearly 12 metres from the fourth floor of the King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort on 12 July, the first day of the family's holiday.
- The court heard Foster thought the window was closed when he placed the boy on a sill to show him a waterpark view and "lost control" of him.
- Foster, an auditor from Essex, pleaded guilty to causing death through a reckless, rash or dangerous act and was sentenced at Paphos district court on Friday.
- Foster told reporters after the hearing that he was "looking forward to going home and being with my wife and daughter."
