Egypt's public funds prosecutors moved the Zamalek Club financial-violations probe to criminal trial after ordering seizure of former player Nader El-Sayed's assets.
- Prosecutors referred the file to criminal trial after a former financial director confessed to irregularities during his tenure.
- Investigators ordered seizure of El-Sayed over about 250,000 dollars he received to settle a dispute with Ghanaian player Benjamin Acheampong.
- Acheampong did not sign the release despite the payment and later won rulings from FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
- The probe also covered the return of 30 million Egyptian pounds to terminate midfielder Mohamed Ibrahim's contract.
