Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes grossed over $15 million in its opening weekend, one of the biggest documentary debuts in decades.
- The film opened on fewer than 900 screens following its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival last month.
- A24, the film's distributor, said the release was "one of the largest limited-release openings of the 21st century."
- The film finished No. 2 at the North American weekend box office behind Paramount's "Street Fighter," which grossed $30 million.
- Fielder and Oppenheim filmed Holmes and partner Billy Evans in the weeks before Holmes began her prison sentence in 2023 for defrauding Theranos investors.
