A government-commissioned review will require schools in England to treat antisemitism as a distinct harm, and the government is expected to accept its recommendations.
- The review, led by former Ofsted chief inspector Sir David Bell, will be presented to Parliament on Wednesday with the government expected to accept its 27 recommendations.
- A survey found three in five Jewish students reported being affected by antisemitism, and one in five students said they had witnessed it.
- Bell said schools must "name antisemitism as a particular kind of prejudice and hate" and treat it as a distinct safeguarding risk.
- Community Security Trust figures show antisemitic incidents in schools rose from 112 in the first half of 2025 to 178 in the same period of 2026.
