The Saudi Football Federation's ethics committee punished Al Taawoun for fans taunting Ruben Neves with chants about his late friend Diogo Jota.
- The Saudi Football Federation's ethics committee barred Al Taawoun's fans from two home matches and fined the club 100,000 riyals (about $26,600), a decision it said is final.
- The committee found the fans breached article 51-2 of the discipline regulations by chanting the name of Neves' late friend Jota during Saturday's 0-6 defeat to Al Hilal.
- Neves said of the fans who chanted Jota's name: "I hope they don't go to pray afterwards."
- Cristiano Ronaldo called on the league to punish such behavior, saying those who act that way should never enter a stadium again.
