Liverpool targets Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal for 2027 transfer

Liverpool, under manager Andoni Iraola, is pursuing Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal, with a move possible in the 2027 summer window.

• Spanish journalist Juan Jesús reported that Liverpool and Atlético Madrid are closely monitoring Bernal, with Iraola and Diego Simeone admiring the 19-year-old.
• Bernal, a La Masia graduate contracted to Barcelona until 2029, has scored 5 goals and assisted 3 in 44 appearances.
• Jesús said Bernal is not the coach's first choice behind Pedri, Gavi, De Jong, and Rodri, and a permanent move could be considered if he is unsatisfied.
• Barcelona does not want to sell Bernal unless the player himself requests to leave, Jesús said.
