Egypt's Supreme Council of Universities Sets August 1 as Start Date for Diploma and Institute Exams

The Supreme Council of Universities has announced that applications for diploma and institute exams for the 2026 academic year will open on August 1, 2026.

• The Supreme Council said applications for exams for faculties including engineering, computers, commerce, agriculture, and law will open on August 1 via the council's website and continue until five days before exams.
• Starting with the 2025 cohort, students graduating from technical diplomas and institutes will have only one application opportunity within two consecutive years, beginning the year they obtain their qualification.
• Students who already applied for exams in the 2025/2026 academic year or were already admitted through the coordination office are excluded from the 2026/2027 cycle.
• Successful students will be distributed according to the geographical distribution rules in the ministerial decree for the 2026/2027 academic year.
