Three Afghan men were jailed for 33 years for raping a 17-year-old girl in Bristol before fleeing the UK in a lorry.
- Safi was jailed for 15 years, Habibkheil and Ahmadzai for nine years each, and a 17-year-old for two years and seven months.
- The four plied the girl with alcohol and raped her five times after Safi groomed her on Snapchat and brought her to Bristol by taxi.
- The three men fled to France in the back of a lorry carrying frozen goods and were discovered by French police in Calais, then returned to the UK where they were arrested.
- Judge Michael Cullum said the men's traumatic experiences in Afghanistan did not excuse the serious harm they caused to the girl.
