Egyptian police arrest man for selling fireworks online in Aswan

The Interior Ministry on July 14 arrested a man accused of running a social media page to sell fireworks in Aswan, seizing over 1,200 pieces.

• The Interior Ministry’s cybercrime unit, in coordination with the Public Security Sector, identified the suspect through his social media page and arrested him from the Kom Ombo police station area.
• During the arrest, police seized 1,258 firework pieces of different sizes and types, and a mobile phone that contained evidence confirming the criminal activity.
• The suspect confessed to operating the page and promoting the sale of fireworks for financial gain, and legal procedures were taken.
