Two Latvian men arrested inside the perimeter of RAF Molesworth, a US and Nato intelligence base in Cambridgeshire, have been bailed with strict conditions.
- Ministry of Defence Police found a small fence breach at the base Wednesday and arrested two Latvian men, aged 36 and 32, inside the perimeter.
- Both were initially held on suspicion of trespass and criminal damage, then rearrested under Section 4 of the National Security Act.
- Cdr Helen Flanagan said nothing in the investigation so far suggests a connection to last week's events at RAF Fairford.
- The pair, UK residents, have been bailed with strict conditions, the Metropolitan Police said.
- Police identified the two Latvian men as aged 32 and 26 following the initial arrest.
- Military police discovered the pair early Thursday after finding an abandoned vehicle and a hole in the perimeter fence.
