All-electric Jaguar Type 01 unveiled in New York

Jaguar has unveiled the all-electric Type 01 in New York, the first model of its luxury reinvention, with sales beginning in early 2027.

• The Type 01, a four-door Grand Tourer producing about 1,000 horsepower, starts at £130,000 ($172,000).
• Managing director Rawdon Glover said the car targets younger, richer buyers and will not launch in China for "a couple of years."
• Business secretary Jonathan Reynolds said the Type 01 was a crucial step in JLR's plans to invest £15bn in the UK.
• First deliveries are anticipated in the second half of 2027.
