Stranded shark Bukang-i guided out of Busan canal after month-long watch

South Korea's oceans ministry said the stranded shark Bukang-i was successfully guided out of a Busan canal on Wednesday at the third attempt.

• The female dusky shark, stranded since 18 September, drew more than 1.6 million visitors to the North Port park.
• Self-appointed YouTuber guardians, called jagyeongdan, patrolled the waterfront nightly and livestreamed to deter visitors from shining lights at the animal.
• Guardian Choi Won-jin said visitors brought fishing and campsite lamps, and the group asked them politely to switch them off.
