Egypt's Meteorological Authority forecasts autumn weather this week, with daytime highs around 32 degrees Celsius in Cairo and light rain on northern coasts.
- Forecaster Manar Ghanem said temperatures are declining toward seasonal averages in most governorates, with Cairo's high reaching 31–32°C on Monday.
- The EMA forecast moderate to hot humid weather on Monday, hot in northern areas and very hot in southern Upper Egypt.
- Ghanem attributed the cooler conditions to northern air masses arriving from southern Europe across the Mediterranean.
- Ghanem forecast rain chances as autumn begins September 23, mainly on northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt.
- Ghanem said autumn begins on Wednesday, calling it the most temperate season of the year.
- She urged citizens to follow meteorological bulletins, noting the season may bring winds, flash floods and unstable conditions.
- Ghanem said autumn's heat rises are temporary and daytime-only, unlike spring's dust, heavy rain and hot waves.
- The EMA warned of morning fog from 4 to 8 a.m. on roads to northern areas, greater Cairo, and canal cities.
- The authority said winds of 30–35 km/h may stir sand in parts of the Western Desert on Monday.
- Rough seas with waves of 1.5–2 meters are expected off Alexandria, Baltim, Gamasa and Damietta.
