‘Absolutely pathetic’: Carrick faces the heat after horror Man United start
(opens the publisher’s site)Manchester United drew 1-1 at Fulham on Sunday, equalling their fewest points after five Premier League matches in the club's history.
- Matheus Cunha's 89th-minute equaliser cancelled Lisandro Martinez's own goal in the draw at Craven Cottage.
- With five points from one win, two draws and two defeats, United matched the five-match low set in 2014-15 and sit 12th.
- Carrick said the poor start came down to "fine margins" and insisted United will return to winning ways.
- Reports say United's management has not contacted potential replacements, countering Italian reports linking Antonio Conte to the role.
- Matheus Cunha urged calm after the draw, noting United recovered from a similar run last season to finish third.
