Egypt refereeing committee seeks foreign referees for Ahly–Zamalek summit match

Essam Abdel-Fattah, head of Egypt's referees committee, has contacted five European federations seeking foreign officials for the October 11 Cairo derby.

• The Ahly–Zamalek summit match is scheduled for 8 p.m. October 11 at Cairo Stadium in round six of the Egyptian Premier League.
• Abdel-Fattah said the committee sent letters to federations including England, Italy, Germany and Portugal and is awaiting responses.
• He said referee appointments are made by proposal reviewed collectively by the committee, not by individual decision.
• He said selection criteria include performance in the preparatory camp, physical fitness and psychological readiness.
