Egypt ministry reports 38 inspection campaigns and 85 referrals to prosecutors

Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad received a September report showing inspection campaigns across 17 governorates and referrals of violations to prosecutors.

• The ministry's Performance Evaluation, Follow-up and Inspection sector conducted 38 planned, surprise and complaint-based campaigns across 17 governorates in September.
• The sector examined 31 citizen complaints covering encroachments on state property and agricultural land, construction permits, public encroachments and administrative irregularities.
• Awad said the sector referred 85 violations to prosecutors and legal affairs departments during the month.
• Awad directed executive leaders to maintain continuous field presence to detect illegal buildings and ensure demolition decisions are enforced.
