Over 100 strangers gathered in a former synagogue near downtown Los Angeles for a three-hour one-day choir, part of a growing trend of pop-up group singing events.
- More than 100 participants rehearsed and performed a choral arrangement of Miley Cyrus's "The Climb" three times.
- Similar one-day choirs have emerged in Toronto, Brisbane, and other US cities, organizers said.
- "People are hungry for opportunities to make music, but they’re also hungry for opportunities to connect with other people," said Gaia Music Collective conductor Asher Blank.
