Egyptian officials meet to develop elderly care and protection services

Egypt's elder care fund and the Egyptian Federation for the Elderly met to discuss developing social care and protection services for senior citizens.

• Ahood Wafi, executive director of the elderly care fund, met with Nashwa El-Deeb, head of the Egyptian Federation for the Elderly, to discuss care cooperation.
• Wafi said the fund will launch a hotline for proposals and complaints and coordinate with the interior and health ministries.
• El-Deeb said Law No. 19 of 2024 guarantees social, economic, and health gains for Egypt's elderly.
