Fateh ends Al-Atwi contract, Jamal Salami near appointment

Saudi club Al-Fateh has parted ways with coach Khalid Al-Atwi and is close to hiring Moroccan Jamal Salami.

• Al-Fateh terminated Al-Atwi's contract by mutual consent after the team failed to win in seven league matches this season.
• Salami became available after the Jordan Football Association dismissed him following Jordan's group-stage exit at the 2026 World Cup.
• Al-Fateh sits 15th in the Saudi Pro League with three points from three draws and four losses.
• Asharq Al-Awsat reported that Al-Fateh's administration has moved quickly and views Salami as the leading candidate for the coaching role.
