Texas prosecutors have opened an investigation after an ICE vehicle struck a Mexican construction worker in Houston during a Saturday traffic stop.
- Miguel Parra-Hernandez, 48, was struck by an unmarked ICE SUV in Houston on Saturday, suffering a shattered ankle and hip injuries.
- Harris County prosecutor Sean Teare has opened a criminal investigation, saying investigators concluded the collision was not an accident.
- ICE said Parra-Hernandez was not its target and that agents were pursuing another man, Jose Mendoza-Cervantes.
- Attorney Kim Bruno said Parra-Hernandez fled because he did not know who was in the vehicle, and that the SUV used no siren or flashing lights.
