Israeli digital campaign uses old video to accuse Hamas of aid theft amid UN and Gaza statements

Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon and other accounts shared a July 2025 video to allege Hamas steals aid, as the UN condemned obstruction by de facto authorities and the Gaza government media office rejected the claims.

• Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon posted on X that a video from July 2025 shows Hamas terrorizing relief workers and disrupting food distribution in Gaza.
• UN Middle East peace coordinator Ramz al-Akbarov condemned obstruction of humanitarian operations by "de facto authorities," citing incidents where armed men forced relief workers to stop food distribution in Jabalia and a WFP warehouse.
• The Government Media Office in Gaza rejected the allegations as "false accusations and blatant distortions" and demanded the UN retract its statement and apologize.
• The Government Media Office announced the resignation of Emergency Committee head Muhammad Jawad al-Farra and the dissolution of the committee to transfer administrative tasks to the National Committee for Gaza Management.
