Pakistani police have arrested Aleema Khanum, sister of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, a week before a PTI protest march demanding his release.
- Aleema Khanum was detained at her home in Lahore on Sunday under a 30-day preventive detention order issued by the city's deputy commissioner.
- The order alleged she was mobilising Khan's supporters through social media and public meetings to create "law and order situations."
- PTI called the arrest illegal and demanded Khanum's immediate release.
- Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the government would do everything it could to stop the planned September 27 protest march.
