Egyptian minister, Matrouh governor review land regularization and encroachment files

Manal Awad, Egypt's local development and environment minister, met Matrouh Governor Mohamed El-Zamlout to review provincial development and service files on Thursday.

• Awad received El-Zamlout at the ministry headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
• The meeting reviewed the executive status of 2026/2027 first-quarter investment projects and waste management plans.
• Awad directed expediting completion of land regularization applications under Laws 144/2017 and 168/2025.
• The meeting covered the 30th wave of encroachment removal on state lands; Awad directed legal action against new violators.
