Pete Alonso's 300th career home run, a tying ninth-inning blast against his former team, set up Coby Mayo's 11th-inning inside-the-park homer in the Baltimore Orioles' 7-5 win at Citi Field.
- Alonso hit his 300th career home run Tuesday, a tying ninth-inning solo drive off Kodai Senga against the Mets, the club he left for Baltimore last December.
- Coby Mayo's three-run inside-the-park homer in the 11th sent the Baltimore Orioles to a 7-5 victory at Citi Field.
- Mets fans gave Alonso standing ovations and a curtain call, then chanted "Fire Stearns" at David Stearns, the Mets' president of baseball operations.
- Alonso said it "doesn't matter where and when" he homered and that he was "really happy for us to come back the way we did."
