Egypt rises 13 places in 2026 Global Innovation Index, ranking 83rd worldwide

Egypt's Cabinet Media Center announced the country advanced 13 places in WIPO's 2026 Global Innovation Index, reaching 83rd globally.

• Egypt ranked 83rd globally in 2026, up from 96th in 2020, according to the Cabinet Media Center.
• The index, published annually by the World Intellectual Property Organization, measures the innovation performance of about 140 economies.
• Egypt advanced nine places on the innovation inputs indicator to 95th and seven on outputs to 75th, the center said.
• Cairo is the only African innovation cluster ranked among the world's top 100 science and technology clusters, the center said.
