Egyptian Parliament Committee Reviews Military College and Armed Forces University Laws

The Defense and National Security Committee of Egypt's House of Representatives has convened to discuss two government-proposed laws on military education institutions.

• The committee on Tuesday began reviewing a draft law amending the basic statute of the Military Technical College, Law No. 93 of 1975.
• It also discussed a separate draft law establishing a university entity named "Kayan" within the armed forces dedicated to applied sciences.
• Both draft laws were submitted by the government for consideration.
