Tate Modern stages Yvonne Rainer’s Trio A for free in Turbine Hall

A looping performance of Yvonne Rainer’s influential 1966 dance piece Trio A is being staged daily at Tate Modern, free to the public.

• Tate Modern is staging Yvonne Rainer’s Trio A as a looping performance for several hours each day in the Turbine Hall.
• The staging marks the 60th anniversary of the work’s first recital, performed by Rainer, David Gordon, and Steve Paxton.
• Each performance lasts about five minutes, with new trios of dancers replacing the previous group after a short interval.
• Yvonne Rainer continues to instruct new dancers in the work.
