El Zanaty meets former Zamalek sporting director John Edward ahead of possible appointment

Hossam El Zanaty, candidate for Zamalek's sporting director post, held talks with former sporting director John Edward and reviewed the club's finances before deciding on the role.

El Zanaty met John Edward, the club's former sporting director, in recent days to discuss financial and first-team matters at Zamalek.
El Zanaty asked about the club's financial situation, player contracts, and outstanding dues owed by the club.
John Edward said Zamalek's financial crisis is among the biggest challenges a sporting director would face if he took the position.
Zamalek president Hussein Labib has held multiple meetings with El Zanaty to persuade him to accept the sporting director role.
