Sophie Cunningham says she discussed WNBA commissioner search with Adam Silver

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has spoken with her about who should fill the WNBA's soon-to-be-vacant commissioner role.

• Cunningham said Monday that Silver reached out to her and described the NBA commissioner as "very knowledgeable and full of wisdom."
• Current WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert recently announced she would retire at the end of the year.
• Cunningham said the next commissioner should be a unifier who is "players' first" and committed to growing the league.
• The NBA declined to address what Silver and Cunningham discussed.
