Barcelona complete €60 million signing of Rodri from Manchester City

Barcelona has completed the summer signing of Rodri from Manchester City for €60 million plus financial variables, with the midfielder now anchoring the club's midfield.

• Barcelona signed Rodri in early August for €60 million plus financial variables, concluding difficult negotiations with Manchester City.
• Rodri preferred Barcelona over Real Madrid, which had also expressed interest in the midfielder.
• In La Liga this season, Rodri has registered a 94.5% passing accuracy on 489 successful passes.
• Barcelona had not planned to reinforce midfield, having pursued Rodri only after he requested a departure from Manchester City.
